This version of Evo’s website is completely built on the WordPress platform. It is what is sometimes referred to as a “blogsite.” About 99.9% of the site content can be edited within WordPress; the rest involves hacks and changes that must be made directly to templates. Custom fields were used whenever and wherever possible.

We used Evo4 CMS, a theme we developed specifically for blogsites. Website layout is CSS-based: the only tables on the website display tabular data, which is what HTML tables are meant for. Fonts are Arial/Helvetica/sans-serif. Evo4 CMS theme is available to other WordPress developers under GPL.

Several WordPress plugins were used. Among those, we consider the following to be most important to this particular website: Akismet, Google XML Sitemap, Contact Form 7, All in One SEO Pack, and Simple Section Navigation. All of these (and many more) are available free from WordPress.org.

The website utilizes the jQuery library and the following jQuery plugins: the Anything Slider, ThickBox, and JQuery Cycle.
