Sue, thanks for your perspective on the issue. Your analysis is thorough, so I see the 31DBBB time was not wasted.

I agree that scheduling is the area in which many bloggers are not strong. The problem has a very simple fix, though! WordPress allows you to schedule posts, so no need to spill it all out at once. The readers tend to be impatient, but their attention span online is not so elaborate to read 2-3 posts at once.

When we’re at the attention spans, do you enjoy longer blog posts containing more detailed information as opposed to shorter posts outlining the basic concept?

Thanks for your insights, Sue. I have my own thoughts about what constitutes a “long post” and how often is “too often,” but would like to hear yours. And I will pass on your thanks to Jan.

Can you thank Jan for linking to my post on First Time audits? I really do wonder though even once a month do readers really worry? Honestly I'm too busy mostly to think about how often a person posts, if they only post infrequently. But I do notice is they write long posts too often.

Most of my audience are edubloggers and for most readers twice weekly is enough. There are some resource sharing blogs that do get away with several times daily but that is generally the exception. Worst mistake I see is people have a blogging day where they write several posts and publish the same day. They would be far better scheduling them 2-3 days apart.
